'Law And Order' Criticized For Negative Portrayal Of Conservative Christians
The Christian Anti-Defamation Commission is criticizing NBC for airing a recent Law & Order episode that portrayed a ministry leader as anti-homosexual and Christians as "Bible thumpers." The organization's chairman and CEO, Dr. Gary Cass, is speaking out against what he calls "a relentless attempt by the media to stereotype Christians as prone to violence."
Cass said that negative portrayals of Christians like in Law & Order are used to "legitimize violence against Christians," who he claims are usually victims. He is urging Christians to contact NBC and tell them to stop bashing the religion.
